The short article explains a bit about the inner workings of a small camera, like the one in all models of the iPhone. It says that light can reflect on the inside of the camera, causing the effect, when it comes from certain angles. The best part is the solution – “Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect.” Apple’s support of this issue is to let you know that you’re holding it wrong! Where have we heard this one before…? When customers shell out a lot of money on a device, they trust it to work as expected.
